Thomas M. Kollin

I am an experienced Ohio attorney who has concentrated almost exclusively on criminal and DUI / OVI cases for over a decade. I have successfully represented hundreds of clients (including the Chief of Police's son, a different Chief of Police's wife, and many other high-profile cases). I have had overwhelming success in both misdemeanor and felony cases, and I'm a member in good standing of the Ohio Bar Association and a member of the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
I earned my undergraduate degree from Ohio University, and earned my law degree at the University of Dayton School of Law. I practiced criminal law for fourteen years before forming the law firm Kollin & Wilkins, P.L.L. in 2009, which focuses on defending the rights of those accused of criminal offenses. I take pride in the fact that I never stop learning about OVI and criminal law and how to better help my clients. In regards to OVI cases specifically, I have received specialized DUI training at the following seminars:
- Ohio OVI Update
- Traffic Law Practices
- Impaired Driving Law Issues in Ohio and Ohio Traffic Laws
- Alcohol Testing
- License Suspensions and Forfeitures
I'm very serious about drunk driving and criminal defense and want everyone to have the best advice possible. To that end, I've hosted LegalTalk, a radio program on WHIO 1290 that discusses legal issues throughout the Miami Valley and Dayton areas in Ohio.
Why Attorney Thomas Kollin?
I get results. Whether you simply need advice or representation in a complex jury trial, I listen to you, my client, so I fully understand your objectives. Even though I have handled hundreds of cases, I realize that this may be your first time in trouble with the law. I understand the anxieties associated with any arrest, and I put myself in your shoes when deciding the best strategies for your case.
I know that money is a factor for most clients. I wish every client could hire experts to help his or her case, but they are extremely expensive. Therefore, I developed intense cross-examination questions that allow me to use the state's witnesses to your benefit.
If you have been arrested or charged with a crime in or around Dayton, you need a seasoned defense lawyer to fight for you. My promise to each client is to do everything within the ethical rules to help you. I guarantee that I will devote 100 percent of my experience and effort to your case. I welcome your call to discuss your options.
